Microsoft are working very hard to make sure the upcoming Windows 7 operating system is the complete package, and here is another example that MS are really striving to gain back Windows users.
Windows 7 Disk Defragmentation has been upgraded and improved in many ways, for years now most desktop users have had to use 3rd party software applications such as o&o defrag and many other titles to help keep their Microsoft Windows based desktop running nice and smooth.
One of the main improvements is the new GUI “graphical user interface” Windows vista was very limited in terms of user effects over the Defragmentation process with Windows 7 the user now has a lot more control and information about the status of the hard drives.
Microsoft have also addressed the “Cancel” problem that rendered many hard drives needing a format, you are now able to cancel the operation during a defrag without causing any physical damage or file structure damage. Windows 7 will set a new standard in desktop computing.
Below are some screenshots of the new Windows 7 Defrag system:

Nvidia are hard at work trying to regain the performance crown from AMD/ATI which they lost during 2008 to the 4850 and also the 4870, But the Nvidia forums and other tech sites are stating that Nvidia will be the first with DirectX 11 cards, Nvidia will start using implementing DirectX 11 technology with its high end / enthusiast cards first and then slowly deliver DirectX 11 into its lower end video cards / value video cards. Nvidia GT300 should be the card so give the crown back to Nvidia from all known reports / rumors of the Nvidia GT300.

The release date for Microsoft Windows 7 retail is still not known all tho with such great success during “BETA SEASON” it becomes quite clear that Windows 7 is well on track, Some people had even suggested late 2010 and we can tell you that wont be the case.
Today we have been in contact with a very reliable source and can confirm that Windows 7 OEM will ship by the end of 2009. Acer, Dell, HP, CustombuiltPC and many other high end PC manufactures are pushing for MS to have the OEM version of Windows 7 ready for the 2009 Xmas rush to help increase sales. While Microsoft will neither confirm or deny these “Rumors” we really think this will be a likely outcome as Microsoft & the Computers companies would really make lots more money with an early release of Windows 7.

Windows 7 using SSD(Solid State Drive) is showing some very impressive results. The guys over at tweaktown ran a benchmarks testing on windows xp, windows vista and also Windows 7, Still a long way off an official release Windows 7 is showing its cards already.
SSD performance under Windows 7 is looking the goods, Microsoft have addressed SSD performance for the upcoming Windows 7 operating system. SSD are coming down in price more and more each day so it wont be too long before all Windows 7 desktops & Windows 7 servers are using them. Since Windows 7 is still regarded as a beta, we can not decisively say that Windows 7 wins hands down, but we can see the potential already. Microsoft have time up their sleeves so if anything the performance of the SSD can and should only get better.
