Microsoft listens to their users

Windows 7 has an advantage over all other operating systems, Microsoft’s not so secret weapon is the (CEIP) “Customer Experience Improvement Program” this is pretty much legal spyware, basically what this does is allow Microsoft to study the habits of its user base, If your are participating in this “Program” then your computing habits are being forwarded to the Microsoft development team, While this sounds bad its not really all that bad in fact its quite good. Users that are participating in this “CEIP” program are actually shaping the next generation of windows operating system (Windows 7). Windows 7 is using CEIP data to better enhance the users experience in Windows 7, for example 65% of windows vista users have between 5-14 windows open at the one time, with only 2 sometimes 3 windows actually being active, (I am guessing they don’t use firefox tabs lol) Microsoft will use data like this in increase the users functionality & overall Windows 7 experience.
