We had a brief look into this feature a while ago but only scraped the surface with it so to lets take a more detailed look at just what Microsoft Windows 7 HomeGroups will do for you. To give you a understanding of the word HomeGroups i will refer to Microsoft’s explanation:
“user interface, sharing, media, printing, storage, search, and more. HomeGroup is a way of bringing all these features together in a way that makes it possible for a new level of coolness in a home with multiple PCs running Windows 7″

Creating a Windows 7 HomeGroup
Well with “coolness” aside HomeGroups will bring together a much more relaxed but secure environment where you need not stress about whether or not your location is secure. upwards of 80% of PC users don’t use passwords at all which is a worry, HomeGroups will allow you to define what area’s are classed as “Safe” or “Secure”. Windows 7 expanding networking capabilities

Networks & networking have always been a troublesome area for Microsoft, Windows 7 will come boxed with support for just about every networking device under the sun and has been a key topic in development. Windows 7 will support 1 click connect networking access much like the windows vista version but is said to be more powerful.
